Program: Pressed Flower Workshop
Members of Meridian Garden Club in District 2B will present a pressed flower workshop. You will have an opportunity to create your own unique designs on cards or bookmarks. Materials will be provided but if you can bring a small pair of tweezers and a small paintbrush, you may find them useful. Come prepared for an engaging experience crafting some lovely little works of art! No experience required!

Garden Club Member, Laura, has a wealth of experience gardening. "How do you preserve your garden?" Our gardens can bring us joy all winter long if we preserve some of it before it's gone. Laura will share a few of her favorite ways to preserve and use the herbs and flowers that she grows in her garden, from herb wreaths and herbal vinegars to candied flowers and pressed flower crafts. Please share your favorite preserving tips with us as we explore fun ways to extend our gardens beyond the growing season!

Melissa has a passion for good environmental practices in our everyday lives and will share ways we can implement these practices in our gardens. She also has a passion for protecting hidden treasures, caterpillars and the eggs they hatch from. She'll share how treasure tags can help us protect and provide food for caterpillars-potential butterflies and moths. Plus, an invitation to the Million Milkweed Challenge to support the Monarch population.

Program: Bradley Youngstrom -On The Farm "Growing, Drying, Arranging Flowers"
Bradley Youngstrom is the proprietor of "On The Farm" in Mears, Michigan. Bradley has over 35 years in the floral industry, has a degree in interior design and is also an artist. On The Farm, Bradley's family farm, is currently a flower farm during the summer months. Bradley has a small gift shop on the farm and hosts a Fall Festival there on the 2nd Saturday each October.
